Duanne Andrade
Chief Executive Officer
With over 25 years of experience spanning banking, entrepreneurship, and mission-driven finance, Maria Duanne Andrade specializes in designing innovative financial models that advance clean energy, energy efficiency, and access to capital for underserved communities. Her work focuses on dismantling systemic barriers and creating pathways to sustainable community development and climate resilience.
Andrade began her career in traditional banking before transitioning to international microfinance, where she launched and managed community finance models across Latin America. She later founded an energy efficiency company in Mexico focused on reducing industrial emissions. This trajectory led her to the Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF)—the nation’s first local Green Bank—where she has spent over a decade co-leading and now serves as CEO. At SELF, she has driven the expansion of inclusive lending programs and fintech innovations tailored to the needs of low- and moderate-income households.
