Duanne Andrade

Executive Director

Since 2013, Duanne Andrade serves as the Executive Director of the Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF), Florida.

Andrade co-leads the organization and  is responsible for: raising public, private and philanthropic capital;  overseeing the financial operation, risk management and loan portfolio performance, and; developing innovative financing programs to help low-and-moderate income populations gain access to affordable capital for sustainable home improvements.

Andrade, a Bolivian national, developed a passion for social and environmental justice issues while growing up in 8 countries spanning 4 continents. During her professional life Andrade held positions in banks and micro finance institutions in the United States, Bolivia and Mexico and also spent many years as a consultant for startups and innovative financing programs focused on social, environmental and economic justice; and, sustainability and clean energy finance models.

Duanne has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from New York University (NYU) where she graduated after attending two years at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. She also holds Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Harvard International Institute for Development (HIID), in cooperation with the Catholic University of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She also is a Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP).
