Scott is president of Sawhorse Construction. He has over 27 years of experience in construction and has been a state certified general contractor since 1989. He attended Auburn University and the University of Florida where he majored in Materials Engineering and Building Construction. Scott has been a member of the Treasure Coast Builders Association for eight years where he is the current President and has received the distinction of Builder of the Year. Scott has been a certified member (Commercial / Residential) of Green Advantage since 2008 and has won a number of awards for green building projects. He takes an active leadership role in his community and has extensive experience with boards having served on the Board of Adjustments, Planning and Zoning and is currently on the city of Vero Beach Finance Committee, handling the sale of the city-owned power plant to FP&L. He holds the following licenses: State Certified General Contractor, Mold Assessor, Mold Remediator, Home Inspector, Wind Mitigator, Community Association Manager, EPA Lead Renovator, and a Class III Energy Rater.
