SELF and Partners Finalize Agreements with Environmental Protection Agency for $27Billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund

Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF) and Coalition Partners Secure More Than $15 Billion to
Bring Clean Energy, Green Building, and Zero-Emissions Transportation to Disadvantaged
Communities

Fort Pierce, FL – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced on August 16 that all
awards for its $27 Billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) have been obligated.
In April 2024, the EPA announced its intended awardees for GGRF, comprising the $14 billion
National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF), the $6 billion Clean Communities Investment
Accelerator (CCIA), and the $7 billion Solar for All (SFA) program. GGRF is part of the
Biden-Harris Administration’s Inflation Reduction Act and was statutorily required to designate
funds by September 30, 2024. With awards now officially obligated, awardees will soon deploy
funds for clean energy, green building, and zero emission transportation projects in underserved
communities.

SELF is a recipient of funding through all three GGRF programs. SELF, as leader of the Florida
Solar for All (FSFA) Coalition, was awarded $156.1 million through Solar for All. SELF is also a
subawardee of NCIF and CCIA funds through coalition partners Coalition for Green Capital,
Climate United, Opportunity Finance Network, and Justice Climate Fund, which were collectively
awarded more than $15 billion in GGRF funding.
“We are thrilled and honored to be a recipient of this historic investment and applaud the EPA
for launching these programs at a pace that matches the urgency of the climate crisis,” said
Duanne Andrade, Executive Director at SELF. “These awards will enable SELF to help those in
the most need, at the front lines of our work, at an unprecedented scale. With funds now
obligated, we’re excited to get to work catalyzing clean energy and net zero projects throughout
the state of Florida and beyond.”

SELF’s Solar For All program will provide grant and loan capital to fund rooftop solar for low and
moderate income Floridians. NCIF and CCIA funding will allow SELF to dramatically scale its
lending programs for energy efficiency, clean energy, and net-zero housing.
SELF anticipates beginning its NCIF and CCIA work towards the end of this year, and launching
its Solar for All program in February of 2025. Those interested in working with SELF can receive
