Community engagement and local perspectives are a core part of the vision for ensuring an inclusive and quality Florida Solar For All (FSFA) program. To that end, the FSFA coalition is inviting stakeholders to share insights in the coming months via four open Regional Guidance committees.
The Regional Guidance committees are organized to represent contiguous geographic regions of Florida that are likely to feature unique market conditions and other pertinent community attributes. Participation in the Regional Guidance committees will be open to all who have local knowledge and an understanding of factors that may shape the reach of the FSFA program.
Each region will include a unique group of counties as follows:
North: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Gulf, Calhoun, Washington, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Gadsden, Leon, Jefferson, Wakulla, Taylor, Madison, Hamilton, Suwannee, Lafayette, Dixie, Levy, Gilchrist, Marion, Alachua, Putnam, Bradford, Seminole, Union, Baker.
East: Nassau, Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Indian River.

West: Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Sumter, Manatee, Hardee, De Soto, Highlands, Glades, Hendry, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Collier.

The committee meetings are primarily intended for local government leaders, regional planning and resilience organizations, community-based and non-profit organizations, solar industry representatives, and other institutional entities. Please note that these are not meetings for homeowners or other potential program beneficiaries.
If you are a homeowner or potential program beneficiary, please sign up for our listserv to receive updates about our planned program launch in early 2025.
Upcoming Committee Meetings
Each regional committee will be convened virtually at least once per month. Each month, meetings will feature a new topic.
February
This informational session is to share plans for the multifamily stream of FSFA. This session is specifically for multifamily property owners/properties providing affordable housing throughout Florida. FSFA leads will discuss what’s needed for a multifamily housing unit to be considered “solar ready”, share how property owners/housing developers can access FSFA subsidies, and answer questions about the process and timeline.
